Use your coding agent for everyday computer chores
Idea + starter prompt, not run by us yet
For: People who already have Claude Code and want help with small daily tasks
Asked to recall recent work, one person's Claude Code listed chores. It had turned a photo the right way up and put it on the clipboard, gone through an exam PDF to sort the question styles, ended a frozen program, looked for low cost steel that survives weather, checked which warranties were still valid, combined two photos, explained a dialog and renamed an agent across six files. Code was written only when asked.
Steps
- Open Claude Code in a folder that holds the files you need.
- Ask in plain words, for example rotate this photo or find what is freezing my computer.
- Let it explain what it will do before it stops any process or renames files.
- Check the result yourself, such as opening the edited photo.
- Keep a list of chores it handles well so you remember to use it.
Starter prompt
I need help with a small task on my computer: [describe task]. Tell me your plan in plain words before doing anything. Do not delete files or stop any program without asking me first. Work on a copy if you need to edit a file. Do not write code unless I ask for it.
