Take a finished video through thumbnail, upload and promo posts

Idea + starter prompt, not run by us yet

For: Solo creators who lose hours on the steps after editing a video

When Sean finishes editing, he puts the file in a drop folder inside his Cowork project. A local Whisper run turns the audio into text, and Cowork suggests titles and descriptions, builds a thumbnail in Figma from his template and, after his edits, uploads to YouTube. It writes promo posts for X, Bluesky and LinkedIn for him to edit, then posts or schedules them. He has not yet hit his one hour goal.

Steps

  1. Set up one inbox folder for finished videos.
  2. Make a thumbnail template you are happy with.
  3. Have Cowork suggest titles, descriptions and a thumbnail, and edit them yourself.
  4. Approve the upload and each promo post before it goes out.
  5. Expect to tweak the setup over the first several videos.

Starter prompt

Starter prompt. Change the [brackets] first.

A finished video is in [inbox folder]. Transcribe it and suggest five titles and a description. Then make a thumbnail draft using my template in [design tool]. Stop and show me everything. After I approve, upload to [channel] as private or scheduled, never public right away. Then draft promo posts for [platforms] as text files for me to edit. Do not post or schedule them until I say so.
