Summarise a stack of articles into one cited research brief
Idea + starter prompt, not run by us yet
For: Writers and marketers who read many articles before writing one piece
A user preparing a piece on automation trends gave the agent 20 articles. It pulled the key points from each, found shared themes and built an organised summary with citations. The guide estimates 4 to 5 hours by hand against 18 minutes, though the manual figure is a guess. The summaries helped decide which pieces were worth reading in full, but were no substitute for reading them.
Steps
- Collect the article links or files in one list.
- Ask for the main points of each, then the themes across all of them, with citations.
- Break long lists into smaller batches, since long sessions can stop partway.
- Use the summary to pick which articles to read in full.
- Check any quote or number against the original article.
Starter prompt
Here are [number] articles: [links or folder]. For each, write three key points with the link. Then list the common themes across all of them, and for each theme name the articles that support it. Put it in one document with citations. Work in batches of [number] and tell me when each batch is done. If you could not open an article, say so.
