Run a set of morning tasks that sort email and prep your day

Idea + starter prompt, not run by us yet

For: Busy owners juggling email, meetings, deals and news in several areas

A surgeon has set up roughly 20 Cowork jobs on daily, weekly and monthly timers. Through connectors, Claude reads his mail, calendar, Slack, meeting notes from Granola, HubSpot and Brex. Early each morning it sorts email, preps meetings, flags deals that have gone quiet and scans regulator sites. When he starts work, a dashboard is waiting with draft replies, to-dos and source links. No measured results are given.

Steps

  1. Start with an interview prompt that asks what tools and jobs you have.
  2. Have Claude suggest only tasks that match your connected tools.
  3. Confirm each task before it is created.
  4. Keep outputs as drafts and action items, not sent messages.
  5. Add tasks slowly and drop any that you never read.

Starter prompt

Starter prompt. Change the [brackets] first.

Interview me to plan a set of scheduled tasks. Ask about my roles, the tools I use [list tools] and what I want ready each morning. Then suggest up to [number] tasks, each with a schedule, what it reads, and what it produces. Only suggest tasks that fit the tools I listed. Do not create any task until I confirm it. Every task should leave drafts or notes only and never send, pay or delete anything.
