Hand a reported bug from Slack to a coding agent and confirm the fix

Idea + starter prompt, not run by us yet

For: Small software teams that collect bug reports in Slack

An internal ops agent named claw sorted an issue raised in Slack. A person then passed it to a Codex agent, which worked alone and fixed it in about 40 minutes. The ops agent then confirmed the fix in the same Slack thread. The post gives no other numbers.

Steps

  1. Ask people to report issues in one Slack channel with steps to reproduce.
  2. Have someone sort the issue and write a clear task before handing it over.
  3. Give the task to Codex on a separate branch.
  4. Check the fix yourself or with tests before merging.
  5. Post the result back in the original thread so the reporter knows.

Starter prompt

Starter prompt. Change the [brackets] first.

Here is a bug report from our Slack channel: [paste report]. Reproduce the problem first and tell me what you found. Then propose a fix and the files you will change. Work on a new branch called [branch name]. Run the tests and show me the results. Do not merge, deploy or post anything. I will review the change and reply in Slack myself.
