Get a daily 7 a.m. email digest of the Reddit threads that matter to your work
Idea + starter prompt, not run by us yet
For: Busy professionals who want to follow their niche on Reddit without scrolling
The poster set Cowork to scan work-related tech subreddits every day and email a 7 a.m. summary of useful discussions. Other scheduled tasks look for market insights and draft things like expense report emails from receipts. They chose not to give it access to company email, calendar or chat apps, which keeps the jobs simple.
Steps
- Pick the subreddits and topics that match your work.
- Create a scheduled task in Cowork that runs early each morning.
- Ask for a short digest with links, key points and why each one matters to you.
- Decide up front which work systems it may not touch, and keep it away from them.
- Read the first week of digests and tighten the topic list.
Starter prompt
Every morning, check these subreddits: [subreddit list] for discussions about [topics related to my work]. Write a short digest with the 5 to 10 most useful threads. For each one give the link, a two line summary and why it might matter for [my role or company]. Have it ready for me by [time]. Only read public Reddit pages. Do not log in anywhere, post, comment or send anything outside this digest. Show me a sample digest first so I can adjust the format before you schedule it.
