Find job postings that fit and tailor your resume for the ones you pick

Idea + starter prompt, not run by us yet

For: Job seekers who want to apply to better-fitting roles with less copy and paste

Commenters use Claude to search for relevant postings and then tailor a resume only for roles they pick. Some store a full resume in a Claude project, add a job description and have it pick matching experience, draft a resume or cover letter and sometimes score the fit. A person reviews and submits each one.

Steps

  1. Save a full master resume in a Claude project.
  2. Paste the starter prompt with one job description.
  3. Check that every line in the tailored resume is true.
  4. Apply by hand. Commenters found auto-apply unreliable on some job sites.

Starter prompt

Starter prompt. Change the [brackets] first.

My full resume is in this project. Here is a job description: [paste job description].

1. Score how well I fit from 1 to 10 and explain the gaps.
2. Pick the experience from my resume that matches most closely.
3. Draft a one-page resume and a short cover letter for this role.

Only use facts from my resume. Do not invent skills or results. I will review and apply myself.
