Fill a slide template and tidy messy notes into a document

Idea + starter prompt, not run by us yet

For: Managers and marketers who lose hours on decks and meeting write-ups

The author uses Claude in Chrome from a browser side panel. For a deck, they open their PowerPoint template, explain what to cover and Claude fills in the outline, headings and text. Messy meeting notes become a tidy Word document exported to PDF. The author polishes the result. It runs slowly and sometimes needs a push.

Steps

  1. Check you have a paid Claude plan that includes the extension, since it is still in beta.
  2. Open your slide template in the browser and give a short brief: audience, goal and key points.
  3. Read the filled slides and correct facts, names and numbers yourself.
  4. For notes, paste them in and ask for a clean document with headings and action items, then export to PDF.
  5. Expect slowness on complex jobs and break big requests into smaller ones.

Starter prompt

Starter prompt. Change the [brackets] first.

Trial first: duplicate my template, call the copy [TEST deck], and fill only the first [3] slides on a made-up topic. Do not touch the original template.

My slide template is open in this browser tab. The presentation is for [audience] about [topic]. Goal: [what the audience should do or decide]. Key points: [list]. Tell me the slide structure you propose and wait for my yes before you fill anything.

Then fill in the headings and body text in the copy, keeping my layout. Do not invent statistics. Mark any figure you are unsure of with [CHECK]. Never save over the original, and stop and wait for my yes before you share, send or export the deck. Showing me the filled slides is not permission. Tell me where the copy is.
