Check daily hotel bookings and check-ins with a scheduled browser task
Idea + starter prompt, not run by us yet
For: Small hotel and guesthouse owners who check Booking.com by hand every day
A small hotel owner in Riga has Cowork run a scheduled task each day that goes into the Booking.com admin area, reviews bookings and confirms whether guests have checked in. Every run raised a permission pop-up he had to click. Claude helped find the cause, but nothing could be patched.
Steps
- Write a short checklist of what you look for in the admin panel each day.
- Run the task by hand once and watch every click.
- Schedule it only after the manual run looks right.
- Plan to approve a browser pop-up on every run, because the approval did not stick.
- Have it report findings only, and make any booking changes yourself.
Starter prompt
Each morning, open my [booking platform] admin panel in the browser and check: 1. New reservations since yesterday. 2. Guests due to check in today and whether they are marked as checked in. 3. Anything that looks wrong, such as double bookings. Write a short report with what you found. Do not accept, cancel or change any booking. Do not message guests. If a permission pop-up or login page appears, stop and tell me. Never ask me to paste passwords here.
