Build a sourced prospect list and draft emails you send yourself
Idea + starter prompt, not run by us yet
For: Founders and consultants who do their own outreach and want better-researched lists
For each campaign the author kept a folder holding a CLAUDE.md of rules plus a contact log. Working in his signed-in Chrome, Claude Code began from a few seed pages and clicked through to build a target list, with a source link on every row. It then opened draft emails that he checked and sent personally.
Steps
- Send the very first email yourself and keep it as the model for the rest.
- Set up a folder for the campaign and add a CLAUDE.md with your rules and a contact log.
- Give Claude Code two or three seed pages to start from.
- Check that every row has a source link, so no personal line is made up.
- Read and send each draft yourself, then log replies.
Starter prompt
Read CLAUDE.md in this campaign folder for my rules and the email template. Start from these pages: [seed page links]. Find people who match [target description]. For each person, add a row with name, role, company, why they fit and the source link for each fact. Stop at [number] rows. Show me the list first. Then draft one email per person using my template. Only use facts with a source link. Do not send anything. I will read and send each email myself.
