Let an agent tap through your iOS app and list the bugs
Idea + starter prompt, not run by us yet
For: App makers who want a bug sweep without writing UI test scripts
ios-builder by MobAI hooks Claude Code up to a simulator or a real iPhone, with builds running through GitHub Actions. One prompt sets Claude tapping buttons, filling forms and visiting each screen while it reads the screen layout and screenshots. Afterwards it reads the debug logs and writes up the bugs.
Steps
- Read the ios-builder repo for its real setup steps before you install it.
- Use a simulator or a test device with test accounts only.
- Paste the starter prompt and ask for a list of screens it plans to visit.
- Check each reported bug yourself, since the source does not say how many false alarms appear.
- Turn the real bugs into tickets and rerun after fixes.
Starter prompt
Test my iOS app [app name] on the simulator. Use only the test account [test login details are in my project's test config]. First list every screen and flow you plan to visit. Wait for my OK. Then tap through each one, fill forms with fake data and read the debug logs. Write a bug list with: screen, steps to repeat, what happened, what should happen and any log error. Do not make purchases, send messages or change real data.
