Turn new articles into Reddit and LinkedIn drafts you approve in Slack

Idea + starter prompt, not run by us yet

For: Writers and founders who skip distribution because it feels like a chore

A scheduled Claude Code routine runs in the cloud every six hours. It reads new articles from Gmail, drafts Reddit posts and replies, and prepares LinkedIn posts with images. Drafts land in Slack for approve, reject or rewrite. It has run for over a month but is not fully hands-off.

Steps

  1. Pick one article source and one channel to start. Reddit replies are the riskiest, so keep a human approval step there.
  2. Ask Claude Code to build a routine that drafts posts and sends them to a Slack channel instead of publishing.
  3. Approve, reject or rewrite each draft in Slack and note why when you edit.
  4. After a week, ask it to propose changes to its own instructions from your edits. Read them before you accept.
  5. Check any channel with weak output, such as image-heavy copy, by hand before you give it more work.

Starter prompt

Starter prompt. Change the [brackets] first.

Trial first: make [3] made-up test articles in a new folder called [trial]. Run the whole routine on those only, and send the drafts to a private test channel [#test-drafts], not my real channel.

Then plan a routine for my real articles on [topic], which arrive at [source, e.g. a Gmail label]. Every [6] hours it checks for new ones, drafts one [Reddit post or LinkedIn post] per article and sends the draft to [#channel]. Show me the plan and file layout first.

Stop and wait for my yes before anything goes to Reddit or LinkedIn. A draft in Slack is a pause, not permission. Do not post for me, and do not ask me to paste passwords into this chat.
