Check your past posts for topics you left hanging

Idea + starter prompt, not run by us yet

For: Creators who post often and lose track of what they said they would follow up on

The author had Claude read her last twenty posts to find covered topics and unfinished threads. It wrongly flagged two test posts as a broken promise, so she added filters and a rule to ask first. The skill now offers three angles and stops at a draft.

Steps

  1. Copy your last twenty posts into one text file.
  2. Delete test, QA and placeholder posts from the file before you start. An agent reads them as real promises.
  3. Paste the starter prompt into Claude and answer its questions about each thread it flags.
  4. Check every flagged thread against the original post yourself before you rely on it.
  5. Read the draft out loud. Passing a style checker does not make it good writing.

Starter prompt

Starter prompt. Change the [brackets] first.

Trial first: copy [posts.txt] to [posts-trial.txt] and keep only the first [5] posts in the copy. Run the whole job on that copy and save the result to [trial-output.md]. Never open or edit the original file during the trial.

This job only reads and drafts. It changes nothing outside [output folder] and publishes nothing. After my yes, read my last [20] posts on [platform] in [posts.txt]. List the topics I have covered and any thread I seem to have left hanging. Ignore anything that looks like a test, QA or placeholder post.

For each hanging thread, quote the post it came from and ask me if your reading is right. A guess is not a fact. Once I confirm, offer three angles for a next post and wait for my pick. Write a draft only after that.
