Study competitor ads and draft on-brand ad ideas in one run
Idea + starter prompt, not run by us yet
For: Small brands that want fresh ad ideas based on what rivals are already running
Someone used the Claude Agent SDK to make an ad agent and gave it one brief: spot rivals, study what their ads do, make new creatives in the brand's style and bundle everything into a report. It worked through every stage by itself, with no drag-and-drop workflow builder.
Steps
- Write down your brand basics: what you sell, who buys, tone and colours.
- List the competitors you already know, or ask Claude to suggest some for you to confirm.
- Paste the starter prompt and let it gather and study the ads first.
- Read the competitor notes before looking at any new ad ideas, and remove anything copied too closely.
- Keep the final report as a file you can share with your team.
Starter prompt
Help me plan new ads for [my business], which sells [product] to [type of customer]. My brand tone is [tone]. Step 1: Suggest up to [number] competitors and wait for me to confirm the list. Step 2: For each one, describe the ads they run, the offer, the hook and the format. Step 3: Draft [number] ad ideas that fit my brand. Do not copy their wording. Step 4: Put it all in one short report I can share. Show me the plan before you start. Do not post, buy or publish anything.
